Hello I have same problem with this card. The difference is, when set to 5.1 surround, you'll only get the front L/R channel on your headphone, not full range stereo sound, and vice versa.Ĭonsidering you won't use the casing's front audio jacks, there shouldn't be any audio output jacks left in the back to plug your headphone along with your speaker cables, because there should only be 3 audio outputs from the cards, and they're already plugged by the speaker set's cable, right? Using the splitter cable, you'll get sound from your speaker set and your headphone simultaneously. This is the panel I'm talking about, taken from Creative's site. Currently the SoundBlaster Z CP has a switch to go from Speakers to Headphones, but nothing that lets me separate the audio like you can do with Realtek audio drivers, unless I'm blind and don't see it. And I don't want to switch between speakers and headphones, I want to use them at the same time if possible.
